Building the expertise and readiness of Latino/x principals to lead and champion excellent and anti-racist dual-language schools.

Vision - We envision a national educational system with enough high-quality Dual Language seats for the 4.95 emergent bilingual learners in the U.S. We envision Dual Language learning spaces - led by Latino/x leaders - where students are honored, loved, challenged, and successful in using their sociocultural capacities to be anti-racist and multilingual change agents. Our ultimate goal is to reverse the current pattern of heritage language loss and support every emergent bilingual student to reach biliteracy.

Mission - The path towards combating the existential threat to equity-driven Dual Language programming is clear.

With a great sense of urgency, hope, and clarity, The Canizales Group partners with institutions ready to open, strengthen, and/or expand Dual Language programming and institutions committed to developing a pipeline of Latino/x Dual Language school leaders.

The Canizales sisters are products of public schools, bilingual education, college-access programs, and immigrant perseverance.
