Latino/x Leadership representation gaps are alarming in many school districts across the nation. Districts who want to close this gap partner with us to help develop their internal leadership pipeline. This fellowship is a districtwide initiative that serves as an entry point to a larger Latino/x leader pipeline strategy. ¡Adelante! Latino/x Fellowship is an 8-month virtual fellowship with an in-person celebration of learning.
Fellowship participants will:
Build community and network with other Latino/x educators in their district and create their leadership testimonio that defines who they are, their socio-cultural assets, and their leadership vision.
Learn and practice culturally responsive and sustaining teaching practices for Latino/x and emergent bilingual students.
Deepen their understanding of the socio-political context of the students and the city they serve and increase their self-awareness of their role as anti-racist educators.
